Diving Measuring equipment for diving Diving compasses
Diving compasses
The diving compass is one of the basic measuring and determining equipment of every diver. The compass is necessary especially for dives in open waters and it does not matter at all what the visibility or complexity of the dive is. The basic orientation underwater is based on a compass that can really reliably determine the direction. Compasses for divers are the only area equipped with measuring instruments where the electronics have not yet exceeded the quality of mechanics. Liquid-filled mechanical diving compasses are rightly considered to be the most reliable underwater helper, especially in crisis situations of loss of orientation or partner.
Although there are a large number of electronic compasses on the market, as part of diving computers, or electronic devices guiding divers to a ship or a place of immersion, the mechanical compass has not yet been able to completely replace electronic equipment. The main reason is simplicity of operation, independence from the battery and maximum reliability in every situation.
