Scubadiving Open Heel Fins
The basic equipment for movement in water and underwater are quality fins. The differences in their types and situations of use are very wide, so it is important to pay due attention to the selection. Diving tape fins are designed and adapted primarily for diving with a breathing apparatus, diving with special equipment, for demanding technical diving, for wreck diving, jet diving, cavemen, etc. Diving fins are made of quality and durable materials, which make the fins almost the indestructible equipment of every diver.
The fins for divers have reinforced ribs on the sides of the leaf, which make shots more efficient. Some ribbings are specially made to support flow, stability, boost propulsion or even low foot strain. Thanks to such constructions, the fins acquire excellent hydrodynamic properties.
Open-heel diving fins are fins with a hole for free attachment to a neoprene or rubber boot. You fasten the fins to your foot over the heel with a rubber band or a steel spring. Some straps and springs are equipped with a tool for easier use over the shoe, or the straps are equipped with a plastic clip or quick-release fasteners.
We offer diving fins from top brands such as Mares, Cressi, Oceanic, Tecline, Aqua Lung and Scubapro. The fins are not always made of only one material, certain models are combined from 2 and 3 types of different mixtures. This is for greater durability, efficiency or performance. Fins with bungee straps or stainless steel spring straps have a negative buoyancy, which will please especially divers in dry suits, who do not have to deal with ankle loads.
The leg openings are ergonomically shaped for a better diving feel. The fins so easily adhere to the shoes and have an effective effect. When choosing, focus on the right size of shoes used, ideally with the possibility of trying it directly at the store.
Tape diving fins can also be used for snorkeling or gears without equipment. In this case, however, you will always need the right fin boots, which can be bought separately, unless you use them, for example, from your set for wet or semi-dry diving suits.
