Zoggs swimwear made of sustainable ECOLAST fabric
An innovative eco-sustainable fabric made with REPREVE yarn, a high-quality fiber made from 100% recycled plastic bottles that helps protect our environment for future generations. Using recycled materials in the production process means reducing the need for primary raw materials and minimizing waste, energy costs and water consumption in the creation of original materials.
2 plastic bottles are used in each Ecolast swimsuit and 6 bottles in each meter of swimsuit fabric!
Ecolast ™ provides optimal stretch and shape retention and has 4x more fabric compression than traditional swimwear fabrics. The Ecolast ™ material is not only environmentally friendly, it is also 100% chlorine resistant and has UPF50 sun protection!
How to care for swimwear?
All swimwear should have specific care instructions on the label, however there are some guidelines on how to wash swimwear and how not to wash it. We have prepared this swimsuit care guide for you to help you keep your swimsuit in the best possible condition for as long as possible.
RECOMMENDATION:
- After taking off your swimsuit, hand-rinse it in cold water. You can wash them with mild soap and water, as water alone will not remove chlorine or salt water.
- Hang them to dry in the shade or inside to dry naturally and make sure they are completely dry before wearing again.
- Be careful in spas or heated pools as they contain additional chemicals that can shorten the life of your swimsuit.
WHAT TO AVOID:
- Avoid leaving your swimsuit rolled up in a towel after use - this gives the chlorine more time in the fabric and can also allow bacteria to multiply.
- Do not wash the swimsuit in the washing machine or dry it in the dryer. Washing machines and detergents can be very harsh and will damage your swimsuit even if you only use it once.
- Do not use an iron as high temperatures can cause the swimwear to fall apart.
- Avoid contact with oil – oil-based products such as sun creams and lotions can cause the swimwear to lose its elasticity and lose its shape.
